…can we pray
for?
As a family, pray that
God would show each of you how to best be witnesses to others right in your own
family as well as outside of your family.
Praise little ones for being obedient or for being kind to their
siblings or friends. Pray that God would
help you be sensitive to the small ways you can be witnesses for Him. Instead of trying to orchestrate some way to
serve or be a witness, sit back and see what or who God puts in your path
this week. If the Holy Spirit brings
something or someone to you, He surely will give you the power to follow
through.
…can we talk about?
Gather around your bathtub or sink. Drop your object in the water. Notice how the ripples keep going. That is how our witness works when the Holy Spirit is working in us. Now gather around your map. Pinpoint Sylva and highlight it. Talk about family and friends who you can be witnesses to and highlight where they live. With your marker , draw a line from Sylva to those places. If it applies to your family, pull out a world map and show how your witness goes “to the ends of the earth” (praying for or tithing to missionaries, writing to penpals, giving to international charities, etc). Keep your map out and keep adding to it!
