.. Sunday, September 12, 6:00 p.m. – There
will be a Community Concert in the pavilion on the river, across from the

which First Baptist Church will provide, for church members, community folks,
people who need a free supper, etc. Then at 7:00

has been asked to join in the music so if you play a guitar, piano, etc. please

churches.

..I would like to extend
an invitation to anyone interested in Stephen Ministry or becoming a Stephen
Minister to please contact me or explore their website, www.stephenministry.org.
At this site you can find a link to a recent PBS feature which explores
Stephen Ministry. This video clip gives a good basic introduction to the work
and ministry of this program. Thanks for your continued prayers for our Stephen
Ministry and Stephen Ministers.
..September is Hunger Action Month, and
United Christian Ministries is in need of our community's help. The food pantry
is as low as I (David C.) have seen it in a long time. Any food staples would
be greatly appreciated, i.e. peanut butter, rice, beans (dry or cans), corn,
saltines, or soup, etc...Thank you for your prayers and support. If you have
any questions about getting the food to UCM or other ways to serve, please
contact David Cathcart 586-2985, or Becky Wilson 586-8288.
