This Fall I will be preaching through the life of David, which you can read about in 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel. David might be a familiar to you as the shepherd who became a king; as the boy who slayed a giant; as the author of most of the Psalms. He wasn’t perfect — far from it — but he’s gone down in history as “a man after God’s own heart.” Most importantly, he helped set the stage for the coming of Christ.
